Anti-Ping
Protect staff members and roles from unnecessary Discord pings.
The Anti-Ping module detects when protected users or roles are mentioned and automatically sends a reminder not to ping them. It's commonly used to protect high-ranking staff, server owners, or management from constant @mentions.
Configuration
- Run
/config - Navigate to Anti-Ping
- Configure the following options:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Protected Users | Specific Discord users who are protected from pings |
| Protected Roles | Discord roles whose members are protected from pings |
| Response Message | The message ERM sends when someone pings a protected user |
| Exempt Roles | Roles that are allowed to ping protected users without triggering the response |
How It Works
When a member pings a protected user or role:
- ERM detects the mention
- A response message is sent in the same channel reminding the member not to ping that person
- The original message can optionally be deleted
Members with an exempt role bypass the anti-ping check entirely and can mention protected users freely.
Bot pings
Anti-Ping only applies to human members. Bot mentions are not affected.
