Initial Setup

A step-by-step guide to setting up ERM in your server for shift logging and ROBLOX server management.

To begin setup with ERM, run the /setup command. Once ran and the initial arrow is pressed, you will be presented with a setup screen. From there, you may begin your setup process. You may use our dashboard to manage your server's settings as well; however, your server will not show up until the initial /setup command is ran.

Dashboard access

You can manage most settings from the ERM Dashboard after running /setup once. The dashboard offers a more visual interface for configuration.

Basic Settings

The Basic Settings step is one of the most important. This determines which Discord roles can access ERM's commands, features, and web panel. There are three permission levels:

LevelAccess
StaffCore commands — shift management, punishments, game logging
ManagementEverything Staff can do, plus admin commands and configuration
AdminFull access including server-level configuration

Roles not showing in the dropdown?

Discord limits the amount of roles displayed to 25. If you have more than 25 roles, try typing the role name instead of scrolling through the shown options.

LOA Request Setup

Using the /config command (or the dashboard), you can enable and configure LOA Requests. This allows your staff to manage Leave of Absence requests in an organised manner.

Navigate to the LOA Requests section of the configuration menu:

  • LOA Role — The role given when a staff member goes on LOA and removed when it ends
  • LOA Channel — The channel where all LOA submissions are posted for approval or denial

Both fields required

Ensure that both LOA Role and LOA Channel are configured. By default, LOA Requests are disabled — you must enable them in the configuration.

Reduced Activity Setup

Reduced Activity (RA) allows staff to signal that they are available but cannot perform all of their regular duties. The setup is similar to LOA:

  1. Run /config and navigate to RA Requests
  2. Set the RA Role that users receive during their reduced activity period
  3. RA submissions are sent to the same channel as LOA requests

ROBLOX Punishments Setup

Navigate through the setup wizard until you reach the ROBLOX Punishments step.

Select Enabled from the first dropdown.

Select the channel where punishment logs will be posted.

Shift Logging Setup

Navigate to the Shift Logging step in the setup wizard.

Select Enabled from the first dropdown.

Select the channel where shift logs will be posted.

Select the on-duty role — this role is given when someone starts a shift and removed when they end it.

That's it!

Congratulations — ERM is set up. There's much more to explore. Check out the Mod Panel docs to learn about each module, or visit the Dashboard to manage settings visually.
