CAD Roles & Members
Configure who has access to each part of the ERM CAD system.
CAD access is controlled separately from ERM's main permission levels. You configure which Discord roles can access the CAD and what they can do within it.
CAD Access Levels
| Level | Who it's for | What they can do |
|---|---|---|
| Unit | Line officers, firefighters, EMS | Update their own status, attach to calls, file records |
| Dispatcher | Dispatch team | All unit access + create/manage calls, assign units |
| Supervisor | Senior staff | All dispatcher access + view all records, manage warrants |
| Administrator | CAD managers | Full access + configure templates, laws, and settings |
Assigning Access
From the ERM Dashboard:
- Go to CAD → Roles & Members
- Click Add Role
- Select a Discord role
- Choose the CAD access level for that role
- Save
All members of that Discord role will have the corresponding CAD access level when they log into the dashboard.
Adding Individual Members
For cases where a specific user needs a different access level than their role:
- Go to CAD → Roles & Members
- Click Add Member
- Search for the Discord user
- Assign their access level
Individual member permissions override role-based permissions.
Restricting by Department
You can restrict CAD access to specific departments. For example, your police department might have full access while fire/EMS only has access to view active calls.
Configure department restrictions from CAD → Settings → Department Access.
CAD login
Members access the CAD by logging into the ERM Dashboard with Discord. They must have a CAD access level assigned to see the CAD section.
